ING – Animals in ESD Facilities

Permission is to be obtained from the Superintendent or designee before animals are brought into the ESD building. Animals must be adequately cared for and appropriately secured. Only the staff or students designated by the Superintendent or designee are to handle the animals. Animals used by ESD employees must follow the constituent District policies and procedures.
If animals are to be kept in the classroom on days when classes are not in session, arrangements must be made for their care.
Animals may not be transported on a school bus.
Animals serving persons with a disability and dogs in training for service to the blind would be an exception to this policy.
